A Sneak Peek at Our Organic Modern Masterpiece in the Making

We’re beyond excited to offer you a first glimpse into our Grandview Project, currently under construction in the beautiful Lookout Mountain area of Golden, Colorado. Originally untouched since the 70s, this home is evolving into a stunning showcase of organic modern design that we can’t wait to reveal.

Embracing Organic Modern Elements

At Bound By Design Studio, our vision for Grandview is to blend the warmth of natural, earthy materials with a clean, modern aesthetic that feels both timeless and warm. You’ll see Calacatta Viola marble, walnut wood, and hemlock ceilings coming together to create a space that feels both luxurious and inviting.

We’ve incorporated a host of organic elements: stone sinks, plaster hoods, stone fireplaces, and plenty of arches that add a natural flow and movement through the home.

A Look at the Spaces

We’re sharing a few renderings here so you can get a sense of what’s unfolding:

The Primary Bathroom

A luxurious retreat featuring a sculptural soaking tub, rich walnut cabinetry, and intricate marble details. The combination of materials creates a spa-like atmosphere that’s both timeless and inviting.

The Kitchen, Dining, and Bar Area

The kitchen will be a statement within itself — showcasing stunning hemlock wood ceilings, a custom plaster hood, and a waterfall-edge island that anchors the space with sculptural elegance. The hidden walk-in pantry functions as a second kitchen, complete with a sink, microwave drawer, second refrigerator, and generous storage — designed for both beauty and practicality.

Just beyond, the adjacent bar and dining room may very well steal the show with a jaw-dropping arched bar featuring a full wall of Calacatta Viola marble as the backsplash. The rich veining and natural movement of the stone bring an element of art and drama, balancing perfectly with the home’s warm, organic palette. Together, these spaces embody the effortless harmony between sophistication and comfort that defines the Grandview Project.

The Exterior

We’ve blended mountain modern with organic design by incorporating dark finishes that contrast beautifully against natural stone and a spacious wrap-around deck. The result is a home that feels seamlessly connected to its natural surroundings.
